Market America Unfranchise® Frequently Asked Questions

Q) What is required to become involved with Market America?

A) You can start as either a Sales Representative or as a Distributor.

1) The Sales Representative option requires no cost and you make money by buying products and services at wholesale prices, and distributing them at retail prices. This option does not allow you to leverage your time and participate in the Management Performance Compensation Plan (MPCP) by building 2 teams of business partners.

OR

2) The Distributor option requires a subscription fee of $129.95 the first year and then $99.95 each year thereafter. This option allows you to leverage your time and participate in the Management Performance Compensation Plan (MPCP) and earn residual income commisions by building only 2 teams of business partners.

Additionally, at the time of registering your business, you need to invest in 200 BV worth of products if you want to start with 1 business development center (BDC), or 300 BV if you want to start with 3 BDC's (recommended option to fully leverage your efforts and maximize your earning potential.)

The total cost to get started will range from $450 - $625, depending on your choice of business centers, and corresponding BV purchase requirements, and the products you choose to comprise your initial order. Remember, each product has its own BV value assigned to it, but on average BV is 80% of $Cost. For example, $100 = 80BV.

Q) What do I get for the $129.95 subscription fee?

A) You will get the following:
Custom Website Shopping Portal, Career Manual, Getting Started Audios and Guide, Online Access to the NMTSS (National Meeting, Training, and Seminar System), Monthly Powerline Magazine, unlimited access to the Market America audio download library, and the Leaderline Newsletter. You will also become part of my team where you will receive as much training and attention as is required/desired to make sure you are successful. Remember - the only way we continue to grow is if our new business partners are successful.

Q) What requirements should I be informed about?

A) There is a 50 BV/10 IBV minimum monthly requirement when you start your business, and a maximum monthly requirement of 150 BV/20 IBV when you have fully cycled through the MPCP, thereby earning at least $1,500.  To satisfy these requirements, you can choose from any of the 1,000+ products within the Market America family. However, the products acquired from satisfying the minimum monthly requirements can be distributed to an end user for a profit. As a result, we really do not consider it as a business expense. I personally consume all of the products I choose to receive to satisfy my minimum monthly requirements - I would not live without them!

There is a $20/month fee to have your own Unfranchise® "back office" business management system and to participate in the monthly BV Accrual option - your BV will not "purge" at the end of each week - it will continue to accumulate for 1 year at which point it only comes off as it came on.

We also utilize a voicemail phone service called PatLive which costs $9.95/month. This system will provide you with a toll free number to be reached at, and connect you to all of the important Market America corporate voicemail information that is disseminated daily. You will also be able to send a voicemail message out to your entire team just by placing one call - powerful!

So, your total monthly overhead expense will only be $30. Obviously any expenses incurred from attending local or national training events will be additional, but well worth the expense - they are life changing!

Q) What training and support is provided?

A) In addition to all of the materials that come with your subscription, you will be trained by me and my team to make sure you are successful. Market America also holds two 3-day training conferences every year - one in Miami every February, and one in Greensboro every August. We learn during the day, and have a ton of fun at night!

There is also the NMTSS which is the National Meeting, Training, and Seminar System which provides ongoing regional and local standardized training events. This system is great for plugging new business owners (YOU!) into training events that are being given in their area, even if you are working with them from across the country.
